JET Aims and Scope
JET is a not-for-profit journal published by the Educational Travel Foundation Ltd. JET invites contributions of original work on any aspect of Educational Travel (however defined) from all academic disciplines and beyond. Jet is a peer-reviewed journal. A double-blind review process is utilized for submissions of Research Papers. Issues of JET will be accessible free of charge to supporters of the foundation in print and electronic format, and to individuals, library and university institutions through subscription.
JET is international in its scope and places no restriction on the aspects of travel, tourism, education, volunteering, development, management, or communication discussed other than the need to demonstrate the potential to contribute to knowledge and inform the academy and society. A primary goal for JET is to be an accessible source of authoritative information that provides both theoretical and practical insights of relevance to practitioners and scholars. Appearing four times per year, JET has three main sections: Peer Reviewed Papers, Reports and Comment, and Reviews. JET also provides a "Network Resources" space where individuals and organisations can advertise relevant products and services at a nominal cost, thus supporting the work of the foundation. JET also accepts block advertisements (please contact the editor for details). The journal is targeted at a broad audience including scientists, policymakers, managers, operational staff and volunteers in the public, private and third sector.
